Let's see, where was I? Got to the end of Saturday's show, right? Music-wise, then. I only have three more bands that i saw on which to comment. Being an adult is great, most of the time. But alas, work beckoned and getting home at four in the morning would have been less fun than it sounded. I must say I was absurdly tired by this time. If you saw a magenta haired zombie with glasses and a long coat, that was me. I think I has begun to show the first symptoms of minifest plague. Therefore, I particularly enjoyed the chance to sit on the balcony with a soda and listen to Patricia Wake, of whom I only knew through collaborations and compilati

Oh, yeah. I have a blog. I should, you know, put stuff on it. I should also scan in some stuff. We'll see how bad I want to kick my scanner by the end of the day. ANYWAY. . . Last weekend I dragged my friend Heather to the music festival noted in the title. I didn't have to drag hard- Null Device was going to be there, of whom she's been fond since the show last summer that I wound up promoting. (To my amusement, you can see my coffeepot from the fifties and box of Crispy Hexagons, yes really, in the tour slideshow from last summer. I am informed that next time they visit, they should play McButts. Long story.) The lineup for this thing was

Life in General

0 min read
Well let's see. . .  It's been since OCTOBER that I updated this thing. I blame the holidays. Starting in November I decided to make all my holiday presents. Do not EVER do that. Seriously. My apartment still looks like I had seventy-five projects going at once for two months. . .  because I did! Today's project: recover from the crazy my life has been all winter. I've been very in demand at work, I've never been home, when I have been home I've been doing art I can't show you guys, and one of my cats woke me up this morning by crying, not because she wanted food, but because she was LONELY. When your cats, who live at your place, tell you

So, um, five deviations. . .

Don't you have a whole horde of JPGs?
Yes, as well as a whole sketchbook of decent work, and a "Work In Progress" shot of an ambitious oil painting. I just need to make better friends with technology. As for the JPEGS of which you speak- I guess I'd rather show off what I'm doing NOW. But if you want I can dig up an older work.
You should hunt down a bunch of clean comic book pages.

And showing off what you did two years ago is better than showing almost nothing. Particularly when I know you have a lot of stuff.

. . .

Or you could come over here and I could scan whatever you like and send it to you.
The kick in the teeth is that I DID have my sketchbook with me yesterday. I was too tired to remember that at the time, though. Why do some days hit so hard?

I could never get my scanner to scan correctly. :/

Good luck.
Hey! I got it going! Out of nowhere, too. I didn't really do anything different, I don't think- it just decided randomly to behave. I shall not argue with it.
Don't yah love it when life throws you this little joys?
